1. What do you mean by reversing diabetes?

As we all know, type 2 diabetes mellitus cannot be cured. This is mainly because type 2 diabetes is a multifactorial lifestyle disorder that takes over a decade to develop in your body as a result of multiple lifestyle factors.
Reversing diabetes is a term used for putting t2d into remission, i.e. managing the levels without depending on daily pills or injections. It’s quite simple really, if a bad lifestyle can cause type 2 diabetes, a good lifestyle can improve it.

2. Is everyone able to go off medication?

Everyone may not be able to get off medication. This depends on multiple factors. For people who have had unmanaged glucose levels for years, the pancreatic cells that are to produce insulin, themselves stop functioning. In certain cases, there are multiple other health issues that complicate progress. Going odd medication is easiest for newly diagnosed diabetics and individuals who have managed their levels decently.

3. Why should I work on reversal when I can simply take a pill and enjoy life?

This is a personal choice really. A lot of people do not want to depend on pills for the rest of their life. Additionally, the long-term damage of medication cannot be overlooked.

4. What makes this program so unique?

The diets are not strict and no starvation is required whatsoever (Khushboo loves food too much to deprive anyone of it). The diets use simple, local ingredients that are easily available in your location.

6. Will I have to exercise?

As you have probably already heard, sitting is the new smoking! So yes, exercise and overall movement will be a big part of your journey to a disease-free life. Khushboo will be guiding you for this as part of the program.

7. Are there any medicines or supplements that I will have to take?

Khushboo is very conservative when it comes to supplements and she will obviously not be recommending any medicines. We will first stick to natural sources only. Supplements will be explored only once everything through food has been exhausted.

8. Does this include any blood tests?

No, you will need to do certain tests from time to time. The program does include 2 continuous glucose monitoring sensors worth approx. INR 5500 each. This is only available for certain locations, for other locations you will need to procure this on your own.

9. Can my family eat the same food as me?

Yes! In fact, we encourage it. When one family member develops type 2 diabetes, there is a high possibility other members of the family (Especially children, and siblings) are at risk. So this diet is actually a great way of protecting the entire family. We do, however, recommend doing one consult as a family to avoid any side effects that may occur.

10. How much time do I need to allocate for this program to work?

If you are cooking all meals yourself, then about 1 hr daily plus a few hours of meal prep on weekends. We recommend 150-200 minutes of exercise per week plus some other lifestyle habits that may need 15-20 minutes every day. This is the best-case scenario, but if you have less time on hand, don’t feel discouraged. When you speak to Khushboo, she will design an alternate schedule for you.
